A short looping animation showing off a geometric shape being distorted with a ripple modifier. Full screen and high quality for the best result. And of course you’ll need your red/cyan glasses too 8-).
This is a 4 part online mini series about unmanned robotic drones. Amazing visuals and cool story.
All 4 episodes are online now:
A short video of a bunch of friends playing with the Portal gun from the popular video game “Portal”. I’m sure, if the gun existed, this is EXACTLY how things would go down. 🙂
“”City in the sky” is a concept about a tranquil oasis above the mega developed and polluted city where one can escape from the everyday buzz, smog and dirt. The concept is inspired by the Lotus flower which is known for its ability to emerge above the murky waters pure and clean.”
Great concept and execution on this one. I’d love to see the buildings be able to fold up at night, and then “blossom” during the daytime. Maybe they’re saving that for the sequel.
Reset is an upcoming game by Theory Interactive. In their own words they describe Reset as “..a single player co-op first person puzzle game with a strong emphasis on story and atmosphere. The unique game mechanic in Reset is the ability to travel back in time to solve puzzles co-operatively, with yourself.”
So far it looks like a game engine graphics demo, but that’s enough to get a buzz started online!
Asteroid mining has been trending in the news lately as a new company called Planetary Resources actually plans to move forward on the idea. The Guardian has a cool interactive piece showing how it could conceptually work.
Meanwhile, I thought this to be a great time to resurrect a video I did a while ago of a strip mine on a planetary fragment. Uploaded it to YouTube.
